This is The Humane Society of Randolph County, a non-profit, all volunteer organization. We are not animal control or the shelter and have no legal authority to investigate animal abuse or neglect.
 

To report a dangerous animal, hang up and call 911.  To report stray or abandoned animals, cruelty or neglect, or ask about a lost pet, you must call animal control.   Randolph County Animal Control at 336-683-8235 or City Animal Control at 336-626-1300 ext. 2.

Line) 1. Please mail donations, honoraria, and memorials to: Humane Society of Randolph County, P O Box 4384, Asheboro, NC 27204, or visit our website to donate through Pay Pal.  Please include the name and address of the donor, name and address of the person to whom the gift should be acknowledged, and the name of the person or pet honored or memorialized. Memorials, honoraria, and donations of $10.00 or more will be acknowledged.   Please consider a bequest to the Humane Society of Randolph County in your will.

(Line) 2. If you need temporary assistance to feed your pet, leave your name and phone number.  Spell your name and repeat your phone number.

(Line) 3. If you have seen one of our adoptable pets, please state which animal you wish to meet. Tell us whether you want a dog or a cat. Leave your name and two phone numbers, (spelling your name), and the best time to reach you. A volunteer will call.

(Line) 4. To request medical assistance, please leave your name, two phone numbers, and the nature of your pet’s illness or injury. The Humane Society asks pet owners to pay for the first veterinary appointment to diagnose the problem. If your request is approved, we help pay half the cost of treatment, up to $75.00.

(Line) 5. The Humane Society of Randolph County is currently planning a fund-raising event for the spring that will include a handbag sale.  Donate purses for our annual purse sale at: 1822B N. Fayetteville St. the first Saturday of the month from 9-11am or the 3rd Monday of the month at 6:45-7:00 just prior to our business meeting. If you would like to volunteer, please leave your name and telephone number.

(Line) 6. Beginning November 5th, 2011 vouchers can be purchased only at 1822 B North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro  27203.  We only sell vouchers to Randolph County Residents, please bring photo ID for proof of residence and Cash Only.  Come between 9 and 11 am the first Saturday of each month.    Rescues and breeders must work directly with the clinics.  .
